Education and Academic qualifications
I graduated and obtained my MSc degree (and The Diploma with Excellency in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics) from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia, and received my PhD in July 2004 (viva in Oct 2003) from Heriot-Watt University, UK.

Research Awards and Fellowships: postdoctoral career
  • A personal EPSRC Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mathematical Sciences, held at the University of Edinburgh (UK) for over three years (2005-2009).
  • Individual Intra-European Marie Curie Fellowship for Experienced Researchers from the EU Commission, held at the University of Cergy-Pontoise (France) during two years (2009-2011).

    Previous positions held:

    2011 – 2016 W1-Professor (Assistant Professor), LMU Munich, Germany
    2009 – 2011 Marie Curie Experienced Research Fellow, The University of Cergy-Pontoise, France

  • Postdocs and assistants:
  • Asma Hassannezhad (during 2013-2014 at LMU Munich); went on to receive a European Postdoctoral Institute Fellowship (EPDI-IHES) to spend two years at MPIM Bonn and the Mittag-Leffler Institute. Now is permanent at the University of Bristol.
