ASL student travel grants again:
The final number of applicants from students wanting
to come to CiE 2007 was 30
(see below). Sadly, it seems, the ASL
will not be able to fund many more than ten students.

ASL student travel grants:
The ASL reports that "the number of
applications we are getting for CiE is unprecedented for a
sponsored meeting ... there
will of necessity (unfortunately) have to be a significant number of
disappointments."
A PC member comments "For us, this is
great news, as it makes us stand out as a very special ASL-sponsored
event. Unfortunately, the students who get a rejection e-mail will not
think so."
