This course builds upon the basic ideas of interpolation and discretisation developed in MATH3474, applying these techniques to a variety of BVPs and IVPs. The emphasis throughout is on methods rather than pure analysis, and the algorithms studied are brought to life by a suite of Maple programs in order to convey the practical difficulties of implementation that do not necessarily reveal themselves in theory.
