My research interests focus on the mathematical modelling of biological systems, especially ecological systems with a large number of species. In general, I have a deep interest in providing a quantitative explanation of general properties and patterns which emerge from the observation of biological systems.

Fields of interest are non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, noise-induced phenomena, stochastic modelling, stochastic PDEs, population dynamics, neutral theory of biodiversity, gene expression, applications of the principle of maximum entropy, mathematical biology.
