I have recently finished my PhD, and am now busy trying to prepare some of my research for publication. My area of interest is in mathematical logic, particularly in Computability Theory. For those that may wish to know, or may even be interested, my work is concerned primarily with continuity properties of the computably enumerable degrees. My research supervisor is Professor Barry Cooper. My research was funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) (to whom I am very grateful).

I am a supporter of Wycombe Wanderers football club. I play five-a-side football, and a bit of 11-a-side. I have, for some reason or other that I no longer remember, run the Leeds Abbey Dash 10km road race twice! My time on the 3rd December 1999 was 52mins, last year I did better at 48.5mins.

"Mulching is a process of inbred fertilization which employs certain decomposed organic materials - including, but not limited to, animal sediment - to blanket an area in which vegetation is desired. The proceedure enriches the soil for stimulated plant development while, at the same time, preventing erosion and decreasing the evaporation of moisture from the ground."
