PANDA (Pattern Formation, Nonlinear Dynamics and Applications)

Heteroclinic dynamics and the edge of turbulence

Wednesday 23rd April 2014

Dept of Applied Mathematics, University of Leeds

The first PANDA (Pattern Formation, Nonlinear Dynamics and Applications) workshop of the 2013-14 series will be held in the MALL, School of Mathematics, University of Leeds, on Wednesday 23rd April 2014.

These meetings combine pedagogical talks with research-level presentations; research students and post-docs are warmly encouraged to attend. There is limited funding available to defray travel expenses. We may also be able to make a contribution towards childcare expenses incurred specifically for the purpose of attending the meeting.

Further contributions are welcome, particularly from postdocs and PhD students. Please contact Alastair Rucklidge (A.M.Rucklidge at leeds.ac.uk) if you are interested in contributing.

The meeting will begin at 11:00 and will finish with tea at around 4:00. Coffee will be available beforehand in the Level 9 Common Room in the School of Mathematics.

If you are planning to come to the meeting, please do let me know.

Please circulate this announcement to anyone who may be interested in coming.

For further details, contact Alastair Rucklidge (A.M.Rucklidge at leeds.ac.uk).

The PANDA network is organised by Rebecca Hoyle (Surrey), Jon Dawes (Bath), Paul Matthews (Nottingham) and Alastair Rucklidge (Leeds), and is supported by a London Mathematical Society Scheme 3 grant, for which we are grateful.

If you would like to be added to the PANDA mailing list please let one of the network organisers know.
