Speaker: Philip Welch Title: "The Inner Model Hypothesis" Abstract: There has been a lot of interest in recent years concerning absoluteness results between models of set theory. This hypothesis (formulated by Sy Friedman) concerns a form of absoluteness between class models of set theory, linked with the study of inner model theory. A simple, roughly stated, version states that whatever can be true in an inner model of an extension of our universe, is already true in an inner model. This is joint work with Sy Friedman and W. Hugh Woodin.
