Abstract:

 "Tarski's conjectures and equations in groups"

I'll talk about the algorithms to decide if finite systems of equations
have solution in free, hyperbolic and partially commutative groups and
about Tarski's conjectures concerning the elementary theory of free groups
and about recent results involving both these topics.
