Meeting of NBFAS


A meeting of the North British Functional Analysis Seminar was held at the University of Newcastle on 30th--31st October 2009.



Prof. William Arveson (Berkeley)
The noncommutative Choquet boundary
2.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday 30th October

Prof. Florin Radulescu (Rome)
Ramanujan Peterson Conjectures and von Neumann Algebras
10 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. on Saturday 31st October

These talks took place in the Curtis Auditorium, Herschel Building: this is the main lecture theatre in the Herschel Building, located on the ground floor.


There was also an introductory lecture for Prof. Arveson's talks by

Dr Michael Dritschel (University of Newcastle)
at 1 p.m. on Friday 30th October in room 3.19, Herschel Building.
