Leeds/Bradford Airport is located less than 10 km (6 miles) from Devonshire Hall. This local airport offers a number of direct regular flights from and to Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Paris, and from these airports to most cities worldwide. Manchester International Airport is one of Europe's largest airports, offering a wide range of destinations. A railway terminal offers direct hourly services to Leeds. From Manchester airport, there are trains to Leeds departing at 12.25, 1.25,..., 11.25, (most are direct but watch also for changes at Manchester Piccadilly), taking about 1hr 20min. For travel from Heathrow Airport (London) take the underground (Piccadilly line, about 1 hour) to King's Cross Railway Station, and then follow the directions for arrival at Leeds Railway Station.
Take a "Thameslink" train to King's Cross Thameslink Railway Station. (These are trains with destination Bedford.)
These trains leave Gatwick Airport at the following times on Sundays: 06.45, 07.15 - and then every 30 minutes until 23.15. The journey to Kings Cross Thameslink takes 45 minutes. There is then a short walk (300m) to Kings Cross (mainline) Railway Station. Then follow the directions for arrival at Leeds Railway Station.
Leeds railway station offers hourly direct services to and from Manchester Airport and London King's Cross Station, in addition to an extensive network of train services throughout the UK. The train service from Kings Cross to Leeds on Sundays is:

From Stands 19, 21, 22 take the 731, 655, 755, 780, 28 or no. 1 bus, and get off at the stop by the Leeds Girls' High School (ask the driver if not sure) - fare around 58p. These buses run very frequently throughout the day. For enquiries concerning timetables etc. ring: +44 (113) 245-7676.

The National Express coach station is situated in the centre of Leeds on Dyer Street, adjacent to the City Bus Station. National Express offers an extensive network of bus services within the country and, through Eurolines, services to cities throughout mainland Europe. A journey to London (Victoria Coach Station) takes you 3 hrs 45 mins. This method of travel is by far the most inexpensive, often one-third the cost of rail travel. Participants arriving at the National Express coach station can easily walk to the other side of the station to catch a bus to Devonshire Hall. See Leeds Central Bus Station (above) for bus numbers.
From the South take junction 47 off the M1. Then follow the signs for Skipton A660, which takes you past the University along Woodhouse Lane to Hyde Park. Continue through the Hyde Park traffic lights (keeping on the A660) taking the Cumberland Road turnoff (third turning on the right) for Devonshire Hall.
From the North take the A1 to Wetherby and then the A58, and follow the signs for Headingley. Follow the A660 to Leeds and take the turning opposite Leeds Girls' High School with the church at the bottom (Cumberland Road).
From the West take junction 27 off the M62 and M621 turning into Leeds and following the signs for Skipton A660 as in the South instructions.
From the East take junction 29 on the M1 northbound and follow as from the South.
North Sea Ferries run daily overnight services from Rotterdam (Europoort) and Zeebrugge to Hull docks, and offer excellent connections to the Netherlands, Belgium, northern France and northern Germany. Coach and rail services link the incoming and outgoing ferries at Hull to Leeds. Enquiries: +44 (1482) 377-177.
