Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems

"Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems publishes peer-reviewed high quality original papers on the theory, methods and applications of finite and infinite dimensional dynamical systems in both discrete and continuous forms, and papers in areas which have potential impact on the study of the dynamics of differential equations. Papers dealing with links between continuous dynamical systems and discrete models of computations are especially welcome. The subject of dynamical systems is considered in its broadest sense. This journal is committed to being the record for important new results in its field, and will maintain the highest standard of innovation and quality."

Dynamics and Stability of Systems - Special Subscription Rate

The primary aim of the journal Dynamics and Stability of Systems is to encourage communication across all branches of modern dynamical systems and to facilitate interaction between theory and applications. Priority is given to papers describing the application of the modern theory of dynamics to practical problems in other disciplines, reports of experiments or numerical simulations that clearly illustrate important conceptual issues and theoretical contributions, providing their relevance to real problems is clearly described.

The journal is available at a special price to individual members of the SIAM Dynamical Systems Activity Group. The 1997 volume can be ordered for only US$70.00 (normal individual rate US$104.00), as long as you pay by personal cheque or credit card and have the subscription delivered to a home address.

Copies of the journal will be on display at the 4th conference on Applications of Dynamical Systems in Snowbird this May, where the Editors, Jaroslav Stark and Colin Sparrow, will be pleased to meet with you and discuss any questions you have.

Some of the papers already scheduled for publication this year include:

The IMA Forum for Mathematics in Medicine and Biology

The IMA Forum for Mathematics in Medicine and Biology exists to support and represent the interests of those who apply mathematics to problems in medicine and biology. It is sponsored by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA). It publishes a quarterly online newsletter. Their first issue (April 1997) has just appeared.
