Schedule & Subjects :

The conference is held at the Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon. It begins on wednesday, July 10th and ends on saturday noon, July 13th, 1996. Invited lectures are distributed throughout each day, with ample time for poster sessions and informal discussions in between.

Day 2 : Granular Media
Day 3 : Signal Processing
Day 4 : Synthesis & Perspectives
The detailed schedule of invited lectures and poster communications will be updated on the conference's World Wide Web server and made available at the workshop registration desk, which will be open in the hall of the Grand Amphitheatre of the Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon at 4p.m. on Tuesday, July 9th.

Contributed Communications

Contributed papers are presented as posters at extended poster sessions throughout the meeting. There will be NO contributed oral presentation. For all contributions, the title, abstract and registration form must reach the local organisation committee before April 15th, 1996. Please bring an ample supply of your preprints and reprints for general distribution and display. No procedings will be published.

Posters will be displayed at all times. The space available for each poster is approximately 60cm wide by 120 cm high.

Registration

Please complete and return - before April 15th, 1996 - the registration form below.

The registration fee is 1200FF (250US$). It includes a participation to conference costs, lunch and evening meals. The registration fee will be paid (cash / travellers checks or VISA) at the Workshop upon arrival.

Financial Support

Limited financial support is available in the form of registration fee waiver, for students and postdocs only. Applicants will be notified by May 1st, 1996.

Remarks

Lyon is located in the center of France at joining points of the rivers Saone and Rhone. It may be reached by plane or train (2 hours from Paris, connections every hour). Depending on nationality, you may need a visa and a valid passport to enter France.

Travel

Train (TGV) connections Paris / Lyon leave every hour. Lyon has an international airport (Lyon Satolas) which is 25 km from the Ecole Normale Superieure. Train and bus connections to Lyon main stations (Perrache and Part-Dieu) are frequent.
