1st International Meeting on Piecewise-Smooth Systems:
Application to Energy Conditioning
                                                                                                          
19th--23rd September, Manizales (COLOMBIA)
                                                                                                          
This is the first meeting in Colombia on Nonsmooth Systems, namely
Piecewise-Smooth Systems. It is not structured as a usual
workshop but on a series of plenary talks, informal discussions with
research groups, round tables on academic topics, and a session of
posters. All in a wonderful environment of 'Campus La Nubia', just in
the middle of the 'Coffee Axis' in Colombia. Everything is thought to
bring together researchers in the nonsmooth or switched systems area to
discuss and share the latest developments in theoretical and application
aspects.
                                                                                                          
The Meeting will be held at the Engineering and Architectonics Faculty,
of Universidad Nacional de Colombia, sede Manizales, a medium-size town
on the Andes mountains, 30 km far from Nevado del Ruiz (5.321 meters
