Twentieth European Dynamics Days 2000

Peter Ashwin

This was held at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK on 25th-29th June 2000. The conference featured seventeen invited speakers who talked on a wide range of topics from mathematical biology and engineering to developments in smooth ergodic theory. In addition to these there were 35 talks and about the same number of posters, divided into two sessions. There was also plenty of time for informal discussions. The conference had approximately 120 participants representing almost 30 countries. It was supported in part by grants from the LMS and EPSRC and was recognised as a Europhysics conference by the EPS. Note that next year's European Dynamics Days will be held at Dresden in Germany; have a look at http://www.mpipks-dresden.mpg.de/ for more details.
