Biography

Marco has a Bachelor degree in pure mathematics from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (2007-2010, Italy) and a Master degree in applied mathematics from the University of Trento (2010-2012, Italy). In 2013 he has worked as bioinformatician in an Italian research center (FEM - Fondazione Edmund Mach), collaborating with an English research center in the East Anglia (TGAC – The Genome Analysis Center). He is interested in mathematics and informatics applied to biology and medicine, in particular he is working on modelling of the immune system.

QuanTI research project

The aim of the project is to improve the knowledge of CD8+ T cell repertoire diversity. V(D)J recombination and somatic mutations in CD8+ T cell will be studied with the help of stochastic simulations and statistical analysis.
